Kisan ( Farmer )

My recent trip to my Village in Eastern UP !! Thought to take this picture but at least in this reason, I don't think, we would have such scenes available in next few decades.

" Kya kheton mein HAL chalate Kisan future mein bhi honge ?" :(

Ek Ajanabee

This Saturday 24th ( eve of Christmas ), It was too cold in Noida and we ( NS, VU, DS ), planned for this movie. It was randomly picked and NS had seen the english version of it. In fact, we listened the "JIYA DHADAK-DHADAK Jaye" same day a number of times and once we thought of going for Kalyug but then no star-cast forced us to opt for somethin else:(

The first half was good and we liked it very much although NS lost interest ( as he told later ) and took some naps too;) He found it too similar to the Holly...ud one.

Amitabh is Amitabh after all and his performance is too good again !!

Once for sure, you can see this movie !!

Jammu

After a bit of time, no byte of time, I am back and would like to tell about my recent Jammu Trip. We started wknd 47, 2005. It was me, AB, KJ,VU. It was all together a fun. We had to attend NR's marriage planned in Jammu. We took P J Jat express and started our journey squalling "JAI MATA DI". Our first destination had to be Vaishno Devi Darshan. In fact, there were all different kind of persons in this trip. One of them seemed atheist for a long time, another was so introvert that people at first meet doubt about his voice. AB use to speak so much that sometime we had to pull his leg.

So we started in the evening and we started talking about different things. Although as I remember, the hot topic was our old manager SRM. When we were in the group, we had some gut feelings but later after experiencing a bit of managerial attitude, seeing other managers, we found him much more efficient in our organization. Everybody felt that he was to good speaker and managed situations magically sometime.

We reached Jammu in next morning and started our journey to Katra. We took the small bus to Katra paying 33/- per person.

--

The way to Katra was good and we enjoyed the journey of a non-luxurious bus;) We reached there at around 12:00 noon and we found a hotel to rest so that we start our journey further. Everybody took bath and did necessary activities. The match of India-SA also started by that time. People felt a bit of reluctancy to move now but anyway we had to start by this time otherwise we would be late, so we fianlly came out of our caves and took a good lunch in a hotel "Shri Krishna" just in front of BUS-STOP ( Adda ).

@03:40, we started trekking/chadhai from Ban-Ganga. It was a pleasant weather and we just had a bag to carry with some warm cloths. It was a necessity as in my last trip, I had suffered it a lot. Although it was summer that time, the night became so cold and cool breeze left us shivered in the night. Anyways, so this time we were prepared for such situations.

happenings in small cities of INDIA

Tale of Cities

Change is the law of Nature” but it’s a small change in small cities of India in the past decades even when world is developing at a faster pace. Schools have been built, but many still lack teachers and appropriate teaching methods. Some have teachers but they don’t know if their job is to teach students or talk about politics chewing tobacco. There are phone lines in many villages, but getting a dial tone is still a challenge. To get it working is involved a big/small amount of bribe. Electricity supply is at best intermittent and some times away for weeks in some well known cities too. Health care is still limited in its availability but at people’s own risk as governments hospitals mostly lack good doctors, facilities etcetera. One has to look for private facilities where some good amount of money involved and obviously it’s not accessible to each segment of the society. Entertainment is limited to radio or television, if at all the electricity is there.

Dramatically opportunities for young generation are similar what it had been years before. Most of the small cities are facing a complete infrastructure breakdown. Their only hope is a visit of some VVIP to their constituency. Although it had been better before because authorities intended to build some infrastructure which persist for some years but now it persist for more or less some months or weeks.

Agreeing upon all these issues, I would like to move towards the points which make things worst. These points are lack of awareness, corruption and no exposure to new world. People are so much involved with their own welfare that they never bothered about their surrounding. They are not coming up against problems collectively. They have a kind of insecurity or something which doesn’t let them collaborate for something be it a motivation program for masses against corruption, health care status or electricity problems.

Probably this is not the picture what people have in mind about small cities of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh but it is realty indeed. In fact, situation is deteriorating day by day and It has become a life where hope for a better future is as distant as the burning sun. The tragedy is that Civic awareness is not at all persuaded in decades.

Allas !! yes, I am worried:(

Awareness

Just an Idea for the moment !!

Let it be this much for first time.
