I encountered a problem with Samsung hard disk (250 GB) which was quite unusual. What was happening was that on my IBM think pad, when I connected it, it forced the laptop to shut down. Utlimately, it was difficult to know what has gone wrong. I struggled to get some support on Samsung customer care....the number is -

In fact, my brother got it from Singapore so I'm worried....if they would help me free of cost.
Also, I already have put some data which is not recoverable, seems as of now....more worry is
that I doubt the reliability on the device and would be hesitant to put further data on it. What if I
fail to access something important.
I'm sure there are possibilities to be able to retrieve the data...but what if the disk drive shut down
your master device itself...:-( i.e. my laptop.
I'm hoping it works with customer care...

Sorry, came up a bit late !
In fact, they were of no use as the product was purchased in Singapore. Also, The model was not sold in the India hence they straightforward rejected to help. Although, one of the person suggested to go to a person's shop in Nehru place.
I went there and after exploring a few shops, I came to know that the problem was with the SATA casing which plugs through USB cable. Later, on a shop, Another person suggested to just replace the USB cable. It seemed to work fine so I saved even those 350/- bucks which I could have paid for SATA casing.
I suggest if you have some problem, you visit Nehru place and you can find out solution to your problems.
